Parryware opend its 1st showroom in Coimbatore
Parryware Roca Private Limited plans to have over 50 showrooms in different parts of the country this year.According to its Managing Director, K.E. Ranganathan, the total size of the sanitary ware market in India is Rs. 900 crore.Of this, about Rs. 100 crore is the top end market with premium products. This market is growing at about 25 per cent annually. Roca products will cater to the premium segment.In another year, production of Roca products will commence at Parryware’s plant in Perundurai. The Roca product sales were launched in the country three months ago. The showroom that was opened in Coimbatore on Saturday is the first one in Tamil Nadu.
Roca has a presence in nearly 90 markets and operates over 50 factories. The product range starts from state-of-the-art hydro sauna cabins.Bathroom furniture, accessories, bath suites and spa baths are the other products available. Parryware has four factories in the country and has invested nearly Rs. 70 crore so far at the one at Perundurai.Mr. Ranganathan said that about five per cent of Parryware’s turnover was now from exports. This was expected to go up to 20 per cent in a couple of years.The exports were now to Sri Lanka, some African and West Asian countries.About 10 per cent of its turnover came from premium products and this was expected to go up to 15 per cent soon, he said.
