Karunya Formulate Research Project
Karunya University and Aachen University, Germany, will formulate a research project to evolve models for sustainable development of urban areas with small manufacturing units in South Asia. The Water Institute of the university will co-ordinate the project.According to a university release, the models will be developed based on the experience derived from Coimbatore and Tirupur areas. A one-day scoping workshop of all stakeholders was held at the university on Wednesday to address issues related to integrated development of urban areas. Need for resource recovery and recycling were also highlighted.
