Chennai:Event to be taken to 15 schools and colleges after June The discourse will be held during the music season.Following the success of its Chennai 365 `Naal thorum Nalluthu seivom,' Sri Krishna Sweets has launched a yearlong spiritual discourse programme titled `Eppo varuvaro'. The monthly events will feature well-known orators.
Sri Krishna Sweets managing director M. Murali told reporters that a similar programme was held in Coimbatore in January was received well by the people. Two Tamil scholars were also honoured on the occasion. This gave the organisers the confidence to launch a similar programme in Chennai.All the events will be held at the Narada Gana Sabha. Sri Krishna Sweets proposes to take the event to 15 schools and colleges after June. Children would be asked to make a power point presentation on national leaders, scientists, and philosophers. The best presentation would receive an award, he said.
Narada Gana Sabha secretary R. Krishna Swamy said the event would be held during the music season also. On December 19, vocalist Yesudas would perform at the Sabha. A slot has been provided for Era. Selvaganapathi to speak on `Devara moovar.'The first talk in the series will be held on Wednesday when orator Suki Sivam will speak on `Bhagawan Ramakrishnar.'The 12 orators will speak on the life and influences of philosophers such as Pattinathar, Vallalar, Thayumanavar, Abhiramabattar, Narayanapattathri, Bharathi, Ramana, Vivekananda, Arunagirinathar and Tirumular.There is no entry ticket for the events.
