Anna's 100th Birthday Celebrations
Members of the Periyar Dravida Kazhagam, wearing the mask of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai, taking out a rally on the occasion of his birth centenary celebrations in the city on Monday. Rallies and floral tributes marked the celebration of the birth centenary of late Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai here on Monday. The Collector, V. Palanikumar, paid floral tributes to the portrait of the former Chief Minister and also planted saplings at the Collectorate.
At Coimbatore Corporation, Mayor, R. Venkatachalam paid tributes to the portrait Annadurai. At the AIADMK party office, the party’s district presidium president, C.T.C. Jabbar and other functionaries garlanded the statue of Anna. The DMK cadre took out a procession from their party office on Cross Cut Road to Gandhipuram and garlanded the statue of Anna. Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam activists also took out a procession.
