8.33% Bonus For NTC Employees
Trade Unions and National Textile Corporation (NTC) management reached a settlement here on Thursday regarding bonus for the NTC mill workers and employees. According to the agreement, eligible workers will get 8.33 per cent bonus. ll permanent and badili workers will get an advance of Rs. 3,500 each. This will be deducted from their salaries from December.
The bonus and festival advance will be disbursed before October 22. Secretary of the Joint Action Council of Coimbatore and Erode District Textile Mill Workers’ Unions, K.G. Jaganathan, said settlements were reached in a handful of mills in the two districts and talks were on in the other units. The main point of discussion was on whether the units could pay more than what they had last year, he said. Mr. Jaganathan was hopeful that the bonus disbursements would be completed before October 24.
