By devouring 22 idlis in five minutes, a 22-year-old youth here today bagged the first prize in an eating competition.Senthil of Anna Nagar bagged the top place by eating 22 idlis with sambar, followed by Gopal who ate 21 idlis.Two participants, Abbas and Murugeshwari, tied for the third place with 17 idlis. The competition was sponsored by the Annapoorna Group of Hotels.Babu (21) of Ashok Nagar ate 13 cups of ice cream weighing 100 ml each in five minutes to top in that category.Logesh Kumar had 11 cups of ice cream and S Arun Kumar 10, bagging the second and third places respectively. Suvai IceCream company sponsored this round of the competition.The eating competition was part of a three-day food festival arranged by Siruthuli for a fund-raising programme to cleanse and revive the city's Noyyal river.
