New Deputy Inspector-General of Police
Seema Agrawal, an officer of the 1990 batch of Indian Police Service, assumed office as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Coimbatore Range, on Monday. She replaces M.N. Manjunatha who has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City.Ms. Seema Agrawal had earlier served as Assistant Superintendent of Police at Aattur in Salem and Harur in Dharmapuri districts and was then Superintendent of Police (SP) Prohibition Enforcement at Madurai and then as SP, Erode District.After a long stint with Central Bureau of Investigation, she was DIG of Police (Training) Chennai. She was then Commissioner of Police, Salem City and then as Joint Commissioner of Police (Central), Chennai City Police. Her last assignment was DIG of Police (Administration), Chennai.
