Maples Plans To Stengthen
Maples ESM Technologies, an IT infrastructure solutions consulting company, plans to strengthen its training programmes in Coimbatore through a series of activities. According to V.M. Kumar, its chief operating officer, the company plans to start a counselling centre at R.S. Puram shortly. It offers three to six month training courses in remote infrastructure management and mainframe management. Mr. Kumar told that the core services of the company were training, consultation and outsourcing.
The training activities started five years ago and 11,000 candidates had been trained so far at the centres in Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. The Tiruchi centre would start its programmes shortly, in association with the Anna University.A centre in Delhi was also on the cards. Further, it planned to extend its training services to China, Malaysia and Philippines.In China, Maples had tied up with some universities that would send their students to be trained here.
In Malaysia, the company had tied up with a local partner to offer training to the “bhoomi putras”. Details for the Philippines project were yet to be finalised. Mr. Kumar explained that the company targeted students from colleges in the tier-two towns and those who were unable to find a job at the campus placement in their institutions. It had a placement record of 91 per cent for those who got into its training.
