SriLankan Airlines's will add its scheduled services to Coimbatore
SriLankan Airlines's plans to improve its services to India, and reinforcing its strength as most frequent foreign carrier into the subcontinent.
The airline is also studying the potential of increasing frequencies to key cities in India, including Mumbai and Kozhikode, while studying the potential of adding Ahmedabad and Coimbatore to its scheduled services.
Silkair Targets Coimbatore, Vizag as potential destinations
SilkAir, the100 per cent subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, which commenced operations to India in 1999, currently based in Kerala and SilkAir operates daily from Singapore to Kochi and four times a week from Singapore to Thiruvanathapuram.
Silkair extremely keen to commence operations from Coimbatore but have been restricted due to the necessary sanctions from the ministry of civil aviation.
Vizag is on the radar of Silkair,and waiting for the completion of the upgradation of the Vizag airport, which is scheduled to be over by 2008.
