First Time In India Hospitality Job Fair At Coimbatore
As many as 36 major names in the hospitality industry in the country will participate in a `Hospitality Job Fair' to be organised by VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science,Coimbatore

The School of Hotel Management and Catering Science of the college will conduct the fair in association with Hospitality Educators and Recruiters Association (HERA), on March 2 and 3.
"The objective of the fair is to widen the perspective of the students in this sector and provide them placement opportunities," said Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, Vice President of HERA and Director and Head of the School of Hotel Management and Catering Science, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science.
Hotel industry ;
Students in the hospitality sector need not confine their choices to the hotel industry. Their services were very much in demand in Airlines, cruiseliners, railways and even hospitals, Mr.Ajeet added. The demand for skilled professionals was high in the railways sector. There were nearly 600 vacancies in the Coimbatore region itself, he added.
Vacancies;
N.Suresh Rajan, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Government of Tamil Nadu, would inaugurate the fair. Kamal Sharma, Secretary General, Federation of Hotels and Restaurants of India, New Delhi, would preside. Vikram Cotah, Vice President, Radisson GRT, Chennai, and Gurmeet Singh, Country Head, Human Resource, Marriott International, Mumbai, would participate.
Entry would be free. Around 4,000 students from various parts of South India are expected to participate.
