One more technopark for software companies in Coimbatore



Varsity to allot land for IT firms

Madurai, March 11: The Bharathiar University,Coimbatore is to allot 100 acres of its land for establishing technopark for software companies to set up research facilities at Coimbatore.

Vice-Chancellor of the university G Tiruvasagam said that the idea of the mutually beneficial project had been welcomed by the leading IT companies. "It will benefit both the students and the companies", he said.

A draft plan for the park was ready and the university syndicate had to clear it. The companies could have Research and Development divisions in the park and they should train the university students on information technology.
