Mothercare expend's an block at Tirupur
Tirupur:Mothercare, the UK-based brand for expectant mothers and children, has commenced construction of an additional block at T.S.K. Municipal Maternity Centre on Avanashi Road here at a cost of over Rs. 35lakh joining hands with its suppliers here.The block will have nearly 5,000 sq ft built up area comprising a waiting hall, air-conditioned operation theatre, four patient rooms, duty doctor's room, nursing room, store room, and toilets. Besides this, the company will provide equipment, furniture and other infrastructure at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.Mothercare's Indian franchise partner, Shoppers' Stop and leading knitwear export houses who supply garments for Mothercare are also supporting them.Martin Antony, Managing Director of Mothercare India Sourcing Limited, said that the construction would be over by year-end.Joining hands with the big export houses who supplies garment to them, Mothercare has formed a trust namely Mothercare Valuable Partnership Trust.Leading exporters N. Chandran (Eastman Exports), R. Rajkumar (Best Corporation), D. Sigamani (KPR Group) and R. Govindaraju (Prime Tex) and Mothercare's senior executives from Britain participated in the boomi pooja.
