Governor to inaugurate 111th Flower Show
Udhagamandalam: With the 111th Annual Floral Carnival (AFC) scheduled to be held at the Government Botanical Garden here on May 19 and 20 arrangements have gathered momentum. The Manager of garden N. Mani told media persons here on Wednesday that it would be inaugurated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu Surjit Singh Barnala.The PWD MInister Durai Murugan will distribute prizes. Stating that a flower bedecked entrance will usher in the visitors, he said that the main attraction would be a 40-foot model of the Eiffel tower created with about 4000 liliums. There would also be a huge basket bouquet made with carnations.Other attractions would include floating flower arrangements in the ponds and thousands of potted flowers.
