EEPC Gold card award to LMW
Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) on 2 June adjudged Hyundai Motors India Ltd (HMIL) as the top exporter for 2005-06 in the large enterprise category.Commerce Minister Kamal Nath presented HMIL Managing Director H S Lheem with a gold trophy here today.EEPC awards are presented every year to corporate organisations, which show outstanding achievements in different categories. The Large Enterprises category comprises of manufacturers with an export turnover of over Rs 150 crore.Other gold card awardees included Coimbatore-based Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd, Ludhiana’s Eastern Impex and Howrah-based NIF Ispat Ltd.Homegrown auto major Tata Motors along with Kolkata’s R B Agarwalla and company, Mumbai-based Jyoti Steel Industries and Ahmedabad-based Mamata Machinery Pvt Ltd bagged the silver trophy for 2005-06 at the EEPC awards.Corporate majors in private and public sector, including JSW Steel, Nalco, Bharat Forge, Raymond Ltd, Cummins India Ltd, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Mahindra and Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland, ABG Shipyard and Tata BP Solar were adjudged as the star performers for the year.
