Exclusive job fair for textile industry
A job fair exclusively for the apparel and textile sector will be conducted on July 28 and 29 at IKF Complex in Tirupur."It will bridge the gap between the employers and job seekers, facilitating the employers to get the right kind of people for available jobs," C.S. Manohar, Chief Executive Officer of Axon Info Soft, the organisers of the event, told.The Textiles Committee, would be the knowledge partner of the event. It would also be supported by various textile associations, he added.The main objective of the fair would be to attract talented and competent manpower for the industry in Tirupur, said S.Periyasami, Deputy Director of the Textiles Committee. Candidates from all over the State were expected to participate, Mr. Manohar said. All types of lower, middle and top management executive positions would be available. These jobs included both technical and non-technical skills. Students with specialisation in textiles could attend the fair.
More than 60 corporates were expected to participate. The job seekers would be given an ID card in order for the companies to learn about employee antecedents.Pick up and drop facility to the venue would be provided for the candidates. Apart from the pre-screened candidates, direct walk-ins were also expected. Professionals such as HR officials, business executives, entrepreneurs, chartered accountants and legal advisors could attend.
Apparel manufacturers and exporters (knitted and woven), process houses (knitting, dyeing, embroidery, printing and compacting), home furnishing and exporters, banking and insurance, mobile and information technology, machinery and accessory distributors and retailers, buying houses and agencies, branding and distribution companies, electronics, engineering, dyes and chemicals, ISO consultants, management and textile consultancy firms testing and certifying agencies would participate.
