One more multiplex in Coimbatore

Software major, Pentasoft Technologies would invest Rs.100 crore to set up multiplexes in two and three tier cities of the country in the next two years, a top official of the company said today.As part of its expansion plans, the company has chosen Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar and Mysore for the projects, which would have resorts, theme parks, children games and go-carting, Hariharan, CEO, Pentasoft, told reporters here.

The multiplexes would be 'replicas' of the one in Chennai, 'Mayajal', he said.A sport theme park complex has also been planned at Madurai in Tamil Nadu, Hariharan said.Stating that the company would invest Rs.22 crore in Coimbatore to develop a multiplex in five to six acres of land, he said that it also proposed to develop a golf course if the adjacent land was available for the purpose.

Hariharan, who released an animation film 'The Legend of Buddha,' produced by Pentamedia and nominated for Oscar, said the company also proposed to start a Multi Media Academy in the Chennai campus in a 1,00,000 sq.Ft area, at an investment of Rs six crore, which would become operational in 15 months.Pentasoft has also recently introduced a job-guarenteed course 'Pentamagic,' by which the company would train 30 persons in one batch, Hariharan said.
