True Value Home's full-fledged office @ Coimbatore

Heading True Value Home, one of the largest builders in the city is no ordinary task. But its chairman, N Ravichandran doesn't show any signs of fatigue or exhaustion. "It was always my dream to start a company, since I am a civil engineer," he says when asked about what motivated him to start the company. True Value Home was started in 1997 and to date owns about three million square feet of residential property and around two million square feet of commercial land. What is the specialty of this builder? "We often hire international architects and top-notch interior designers to work on our projects," explains Ravichandran who adds that one of the main areas of focus of their work is on maximum utilisation of space.

"We make sure at least 80 percent of the space is used up," he tells us. Another important feature that attracts customers to them is the fact that they provide an eco-friendly environment with high-rise buildings that allows more scope for landscaping and greenery. "There is a huge demand for green surroundings in the home environment. So we make sure there is a lot of picturesque landscaping, fountains, etc," he explains. Talking about innovations, he tells us that they have designed a lot of concept-based buildings, like Japanese and English, with the help of international architects, hired especially to work on them.

Ravichandran believes that the way to attract customers, more than the facilities, is to deliver the best quality to them. "Quality of construction, location and work is of utmost importance," he says. He attributes the company's success to quality work and says that customers come to them because they always deliver on time. What’s the latest in the pipeline? "Right now we are working on a huge residential project near the IT Corridor, Padur and have just completed a 400 square feet commercial construction in MRC Nagar, which is home to some of the best companies in the country," Ravichandran tells us, "The project in Padur is a ground plus 30 floors plan, which will include facilities like a departmental store, health club, open-air amphitheatre, mini golf course, etc. We are looking at making 17 percent of the houses face the sea." He adds that this is one of the biggest residential projects taken up ever in the city. Any plans of expanding? "Yes. We are planning to set up full-fledged offices in Coimbatore and Bangalore in the near future," he affirms.
