A total of 2.77 lakh children would get three eggs a week under the noon meal scheme in the district beginning Sunday.From the present system of two eggs a week, the State Government is launching the three-eggs a week scheme on Sunday to mark the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister, Kamaraj. State Minister for Rural Industries, Pongalur N. Palanisamy, District Collector, Neeraj Mittal and Mayor, R. Venkatachalam will inaugurate the scheme at a function to be held at Corporation Sidhapudur High School on Sunday.
