The last date for filing of Income Tax returns by all categories of assessees, other than Corporate assessees and those covered under Section 44AB of Income Tax, is July 31.According to an official release, new return forms have been notified for the current assessment year and only these forms will be accepted by the Department. The forms are available at the Income Tax office, Coimbatore, or can be downloaded from
http://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/. Workshops will be organised in Coimbatore, Erode and the Nilgiris districts to educate the assessees in filling up the forms. Workshops will be held from July 20 at the Income Tax office facilitation counter at 63, Race Course Road, Coimbatore.
