Silver jubilee reunion at PSG
The Silver Jubilee reunion of the 1982 batch of the PSG College of Technology was held on the college premises here on Sunday.Of the 187 students who had passed out of the college in 1982, 145 attended the meeting on Sunday.A souvenir with contributions from the alumni and their family members was released.According to R. Mylsamy, one of the batch members, they gave Rs. 10 lakh as seed money to the college to establish an advanced nano-technology laboratory. They also gave Rs. 2 lakh to the alumni association to support higher education of the needy meritorious students.This was part of the three-day programme that would conclude on August 14, he said.G. Rangaswamy, Managing Trustee of the PSG and Sons Charities, R. Rudramoorthy, Principal of the college, R. Subbayyan and P. Radhakrishnan, former principals of the college and R. Ravindran, president of the PSG Tech Alumni Association participated in the programme.
