The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Coimbatore, has commissioned 16-Base Transmission Stations (BTS) under the Wireless in Local Loop (WLL) phone services.A release said that it has been commissioned at Ganapathy, Sulur, Senjeripudur, V. Velur, Kozhumam, Cheyur, Mettuppalayam, Pedappampatti, Palladam, Arasur, Race Course, Ram Nagar, Thondamuthur, Kurichi, Periyandipalayam and Saravanampatti.The BTS would enable expansion of the WLL coverage.It would also in tiding over technical feasibility constraints in providing new telephone connections owing to lack of cable pairs.
