Notice issued to Kodanadu estate admin
A notice has been issued to the administration of Kodanadu estate, near here, owned by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and her friend Sasikala by the local panchayat to demolish an unauthorised structure on the estate premises.The notice, addressed to the administration, Jayalalithaa and Sasikala, was issued on September 10.Kodanadu panchayat chief M Pon Dhous said in a statement that the building in the estate was constructed against rules. "This unauthorised building is the biggest in Nilgiris district and construction of such buildings is a threat to the environment and landscape," he said.Dhous said repeated requests from the panchayat to the estate administration to submit the plan and the licence particulars of the structure had not yielded any result.Meanwhile, official sources, without elaborating, said that senior officials from here would go to the estate tomorrow to act upon the notice.Jayalalithaa had arrived at the estate on September 16 on a 10-day visit.
