CTS Donated 60 used computers to school

The Siddapudur Higher Secondary School Alumni Association has provided a school management software and networking of computers at the school.According to the association president, G. Soundararajan, Congnizant Technology Solutions had donated 60 used computers to the school.These were installed and the alumni association, with about 200 members, took up networking of the computers at the staff room, the school office and the laboratory.With the software, it will be easy to maintain profile of all the students at the school, store data on fee collection and issuing certificates too.

Mr. Soundararajan said the alumni association would also help in feeding in the back data. It had sought permission from the Corporation to maintain the computer laboratory at the school.Cognizant had donated 10 more computers to Government schools and Classic Polo provided T-shirts to 2,000 students in three Corporation schools at a function held here recently.A release from the association said it planned to expand its services to more Government schools in the district. Alumni association would be formed in every school and the corporates here would be involved in providing more facilities at the schools.Mr. Soundararajan pointed out that two companies here had adopted seven schools and efforts were on to involve more industries.
