Conference on “Facts and Myths of Obesity”
The Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics of PSG College of Technology will host a national conference on “Facts and Myths of Obesity” on December 19 and 20.According to a college release, the conference will deliberate upon prevention and treatment of obesity, considered to be the most perplexing problems faced by nutritionists and physicians, as well as individuals.Through its deliberations, the conference will establish a network between doctors, nutritionists, dieticians, educationists, fitness advocates, students, researchers and the community at large, to delve into the scientific methods of treating and managing obesity.Over 400 delegates are expected to participate.
