Govt website for Coimbatore schools
Department of School Education has launched a website for Government schools in Coimbatore district with a view to improve their infrastructure facilities and to provide qualitative education for all.A compilation of data has been prepared pertaining to the identification of infrastructural facilities prevailing in government high schools and higher secondary schools in the website, www.Coimbatoregovtschools.Com, which was inaugurated by state Chief Secretary L S Tripathy.The data includes number of students, class rooms needed and repaired, accomplishment of lab facilities, equipment needed, drinking water and toilet facilities, electrification, compound wall, cycle stand, educational assistance like uniform, instrument box, note books for the disadvantaged and underprivileged.It also included particulars of students enrolment, pass percentage of the schools during the past five years.Tripathy said that many NGOs and members of the public have come forward to help several schools financially.People can have the telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of the schools rendering services to the disadvantaged sections from the website, Karmegham, Chief Educational Officer said
