According to a release, 126 cases, involving Rs. 51.89 crore, were referred for the adalat.Settlements were reached for 20 cases and the total settlement amount was Rs. 3.91 crore. Of this, payments were made for Rs. 1.36 crore.The chairperson of the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Chennai, T.V. Masilamani, said such adalats should be held regularly.
