District Collector Neeraj Mittal at a training cum employment centre at Palladam for rural women.In an effort to take technology closer to the rural people and thereby qualify them for employment, the Magalir Thittam in Coimbatore has joined hands DesiCrew Solutions of Chennai in setting up training cum employment opportunity centre at Palladam. The District Collector, Neeraj Mittal, and the Project officer of Magalir Thittam, M. Sundaram, on Tuesday inaugurated the training centre for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry for the rural population especially women hailing from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.Inaugurated the training centre for Business Process Outsourcing
Under the programme, the administration plans to enrol persons from BPL family having a minimum qualification of Plus-Two. Those who qualify in the screening test would undergo a four-month training programme with stipend. At the end of the training, job placements would be arranged for successful candidates. The training cost of Rs. 10,000 would be borne by the Magalir Thittam, which included a total stipend of Rs. 3,000 for four months. The training programme would be conducted by the DesiCrew solutions private limited at the Palladam centre. DesiCrew is a rural BPO company with people employed at rural areas in Tamil Nadu.
