‘Young Scientist’ Award

According to a release, Mr. Parimelazhagan was given the award at an international seminar on ‘Medicinal Plants and Herbal Products’, jointly by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, and Andhra Pradesh Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Board, Hyderabad, at Tirupati recently. He received the award from P. Pushpangadan, former Director of National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow. Mr. Parimelazhagan presented his research work on medicinal plants growing in high altitudes at the seminar. He has also been employed as a scientist in the Defence Research and Development Organisation and has two patents to his credit in herbal products.
