Education Fair At Coimbatore
Overseas educational consultants are there to counsel students
Some 20 engineering and arts and science colleges, computer training institutes and vocational educational institutes, have displayed their best courses for students to choose from. Business schools, tuition centres, air hostess training institutes and animation training centres too have put up stalls. In addition, there is a section dedicated to overseas education. Overseas educational consultants are there to counsel students aspiring to study in countries such as the U.K., the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.
There is also an area where human resource consultants and representatives from the business process outsourcing consultancy agencies are waiting to receive resumes from candidates – graduates as well as those in the final year of college – for screening at a later stage to select them for placements in various organisations.
R. Sarangarathinam, Senior Manager, Marketing, Innovative Business Fairs, said: “The expo offers opportunities for academics as well as for careers. There has been a mixed response. The visitors show equal interest in all the sectors. There are also seminars to educate and create awareness among the students.” The fair is on till April 6. It is open from 10.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
