Screening Test For Civil Service Coaching
The screening test for those wishing to take up the civil service coaching of Bharathiar University will be held on April 10 at 11 a.m. According to a university release, the Civil Services Coaching Academy of the university at the Nirmala College for Women has received a grant of Rs. 45,000 from the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for 2008.The grant will be used to conduct the screening test for aspirants who have applied for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination scheduled to be held on May 18.
Those who emerge successful in the screening test will be eligible to attend the coaching classes from April 15 to May 15. Socio-economically backward candidates belonging to Other Backward Castes, Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes will get a stipend of Rs. 1,500 if they are from out of Coimbatore and Rs. 750 if they are local candidates. Candidates appearing for the screening test should submit their community certificate, passport size photographs and a photocopy of degree certificate.
