Compu-Fest 2008
The latest in hardware on display at ‘Compu-Fest 2008’ being organised by Coimbatore Information Technology Association at Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre in the city. Just an hour or so after the inauguration the hall was quite crowded. As customers walked from one stall to another at Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre on Friday, their hands got filled with brochures, pamphlets and address cards.
The fourth edition of Compu-Fest, a computer and accessories exhibition organised by the Coimbatore Information Technology Association, is on till June 22. Almost all the leading brands of desktops and laptops are available at the three-day exhibition apart from a wide range of accessories, and all at special offers.
Digital display boards, laptop stands, wireless keyboards and mice, speakers, UPS, broadband providers and software kits are some of the products one can find at the fair. For those into commercial or industrial activities, larger monitors, electronic gadgets, accounting software, maintenance services, computer furniture, toners, printers, scanners, cameras, etc., are available to know about and buy. With a wi-fi enabled environment, one could log on to the net anywhere on the premises. According to the organisers, with all computer and related products available under one roof from the major and local players, a large number of visitors are expected.
