Race Course Police on Tuesday registered a case against two students of a private teacher training institution at Udumalpet on charges of attempting to commit suicide in front of the District Collector during a grievance meeting at the Collectorate on Monday.The two students had come with a petition regarding the denial of permission to write exams and other problems in the institution. Stating that they had already petitioned twice in vain, the students consumed poison right before the eyes of Collector V. Palanikumar.
