The plenary sessions, to be attended by around 12 resource persons, would address macro-level issues facing the three areas. Apart from this, panel discussions would focus on the following topics: Ayurvedic pedagogy: global needs; Science in the context of Ayurveda for global acceptance; Ayurveda and Biotechnology; Health and illness: global challenges and Ayurvedic solutions; Transcultural perception and regulatory issues; Evolution of Ayurvedic industry in the global pharma milieu. The highlight of the global convention was participation of practitioners of modern medicine and researchers along with experts in Ayurveda.
Experts from India and abroad would take part in the deliberations. The sessions were structured to provide a ‘modus operandi’ for applying Ayurveda to these three areas of healthcare.
