Starting from solar heaters and paints to handicrafts and paintings, the range is vast. The list includes: artificial grass, timber shelves, wooden tables and chairs, garden furniture, taps, swimming pool equipment, doors, leather covers, vacuum cleaners, glass items, bathroom fittings, industrial plugs and sockets, cement and wall coating materials. The event has nearly 50 participants and a number of them have come from Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai and Hyderabad. It has under one roof several new products that one can choose to decorate the home interiors and exteriors and these are available at a special rate.
The event is also a platform for launch of several products. “Lifestyle has changed. A home is not just a place of shelter anymore. People want to enjoy living at home,” says N. Natarajan, Manager – Operations and Sales of Business India Exhibitions. The four-day event that started on Thursday at Smt. Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as business hours. Special awards have been presented to the “best display” stalls. Visitors come from the neighbouring towns and districts too, says Mr. Natarajan. The exhibition will be held in 15 other locations.
