Hero Mindmine's Learning Centre Launched

Spoken English courses are prevalent in India for decades now. However, Hero Mindmine Institute, the trading and consulting arm of the US-based Hero Group, believes the demand for them has not diminished, but has increased for employment especially in outsourcing and retail. “We have plenty of engineering graduates, at least as much as other graduates and diploma holders, enrolling for our programmes,” said Hero Mindmine Institute business head AW George.
The institute has launched learning centres in five towns in Tamil Nadu — Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai and Vellore. Of the 10 planned centres, 3 of which are in Chennai, 7 are already operational. The centres are operating under a franchise model with Hero Mindmine framing the curriculum and training the trainers while the franchisee is expected to provide space and pay the trainers. The revenue will be shared by the two parties. Of the institute’s 176 centres across India, 15 are directly owned by the company and the rest are franchised out.
