Hindu Munnani Activists Stage Demo

Protesting against the alleged delay in releasing one of their leaders on bail, about 50 workers of Hindu Munnani today staged demonstration in front of the Central Jail here. Sixteen Hindu Munnani workers were arrested and lodged in the Jail in connection with the incident involving a Tamil film director Seeman at a meeting organised by Periyar Dravida Kazhakam recently in Thudiyalur on the outskirts.

As there was delay in releasing Murugandndam, Hindu Munnani Coimbatore North district secretary, who was granted bail by a district court last evening, the workers assembled near the jail and raised slogans against jail officials, police said.
