Army Recruitment Rally
An army recruitment rally to enrol candidates as soldiers in various categories will be held at Namakkal from November 11 to 17. According to a release from Director Recruiting, Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore, the enrolment will be in the categories of soldier – tradesman, general duty, nursing assistant, technical, and clerk / store keeper technical.
Candidates from the districts of Erode, the Nilgiris, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Coimabtore, Theni, Dindigul, Namakkal, Madurai and Salem are eligible to attend. They will have to report at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School (South), Namakkal Town, at 5.30 a.m. on all days.
The selection procedure will involve physical fitness, medical fitness and a common entrance examination. Candidates from various districts will be grouped together under common categories for selection process. Selection for each category will be done for two days.
