Congress cadres block a road in Tirupur on Friday in protest against the damage to Rajiv Gandhi statue in Chennai



Medical camp :
A medical camp will be conducted by the Lions Club of Coimbatore Cosmos at Lions Club Road, behind Ganga Hospital in Ramanagar. The camp will start at 9.30 a.m. There will also be Deepavali celebrations in its adopted villages - Pudhupadhai and Chinnampadhi at 10.30 a.m.
Special golden alankaram :
Jagathguru Sri Jeyendra Saraswathi Trust is organising a special golden alankaram to goddess Annapurni and special laddu chariot for the gods to be taken on a procession on Deepavali day. Devotees can get special ganga water taken from Kashi Holy Ganges after abishegam in the morning. Darshan timings will be 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the temple premises on Thiruvenkatasamy Road, R.S. Puram.
