Gold Ingots Looted

About Rs.50 lakh worth gold ingots were reportedly looted from a person, who was waylaid and made to swallow acid like substance, in the city last night, police said. According to a complaint, one Nandakumar, working in a goldsmithie was walking towards his workplace on Range Gounder street, when some unidentified persons waylaid him and poured some substance in his mouth.They then seized the ingots and fled. The victim has been admitted to hospital.
