The bodies of a scientist and his wife were recovered in a highly decomposed state from their apartment in Mullai Nagar on Marudhamalai Road on Tuesday morning. Balamuralikrishnan (38), a scientist with the Sugarcane Breeding Institute in Seeranaickenpalayam and his wife Deepa were found dead after police broke open the door to their apartment. Deepa was on the bed with an injury and Balamuralikrishnan was found hanging from the ceiling. Police recovered a note from the apartment.
