The Hindu Young World Painting Competition
The Coimbatore edition of The Hindu Young World painting competition will be held at the Thiruchitrambalam Auditorium at Avinashilingam University for Women on Sunday ( November 30). School students from Coimbatore, the Nilgiris, Palakkad and Erode districts are participating in the contest. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Participants should be present at the venue at 8.45 a.m. with painting materials. Out station students will have to travel at their own expense. Drawing sheets will be provided by the organizers.Letters have been sent to those who qualified in the preliminary competition. The contestants should bring the letter. Topics for the various categories (juniors and seniors) will be announced on the spot. All will get participation certificates. Besides the best three prizes, there will also be a few consolation prizes. M. Balamurugan, Passport Officer, Coimbatore, will be the chief guest for the event and will give away the prizes. Lotte Booproo is the title sponsor. Sree Annapoorna Sree Gowrisankar is the snacks sponsor and ARC Aquapura is the water sponsor for the event.
