Special Train To Tirupathi
In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the ensuing winter season, a special train would be operated between Coimbatore and Tirupati during the months of November and December. A release from the Southern Railway, Salem Division, said that the special train would be operated from Coimbatore on November 11 and 18 and again on 16th, 23rd and 30th of December i.e., five services on Tuesdays.From Tirupati, the special train would be operated on November 12 and 19 and again on December 17, 24 and 31 i.e., five services on Wednesdays. The train would leave Coimbatore Junction at 10. 35 p.m., and reach Tirupati at 7.30 a.m. and in the return direction it would leave Tirupati at 9 p.m., and arrive Coimbatore at 7.00 a.m. It would have stoppages at Coimbatore North (only in the return direction), Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Chittoor and Pakala.
