Photo Electoral Rolls Modifications Dec 2nd Last Date

Palanikumar has called upon voters in the district to apply for inclusion in or deletion from photo electoral rolls or for corrections as this process will end on December 2. The process was being carried out following complaints of names being left out or of wrong addresses or photos.
The Collector, who is the District Election Officer, reviewed on Sunday the exercise being carried out at some of the Coimbatore Corporation Schools in the city. He said in a press release that the photo rolls were released on November 17 and the process of inclusion, deletion and correction was being carried out since then at 1,600 designated centres.
With only two more days to go, the administration called upon the voters to make use of this exercise to have the correct name, photo and address entered in the rolls. So far, 6,710 applications had been received for inclusion of names, 109 for deletion, 257 for correction and 80 for change of constituency. The process of receiving applications and processing them was reviewed by the Collector at the Corporation Girls’ Higher Secondary School at Ramakrishnapuram, Corporation Boys’ High School at Ramanathapuram and Devanga Higher Secondary School, off Brooke Bond Road.
