No Pillor Water Supply For 2 Days

The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation has announced that areas served by Pilloor water supply scheme will go without water supply for two days on February 17 and 18 in view of the maintenance works to be undertaken by the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) Board.


A release from the Corporation Commissioner, Anshul Mishra, said that there would be no water supply at Ramanathapuram, Sidhapudur, Ganapathy, Peelamedu, Ondipudur, Avanashi Road, Maniakarampalayam, Masakkalipalayam, Vardarajapuram and Neelikonampalayam and Singanallur areas for two days.


A release from Executive Engineer of the Pilloor Water Supply Scheme of TWAD Board said that maintenance works are being taken up for shifting the water lines to enable to the Irugur railway line doubling work. The lines are to be shifted near the Vilankurichi railway level crossing, hence the stoppage in supply. Pumping of water supply is expected to resume on Thursday morning and water supply would reach the tail-end areas latest by Thursday night or Friday morning.
