Chennai - Coimbatore Special train !
Southern Railway is operating a weekly special super fast train between Chennai and Coimbatore to clear the rush of passengers on this section.A release from Southern Railway, Salem Division, said that special train number 0613/0614 Chennai-Coimbatore-Chennai (weekly) super fast special train will be operated from Chennai on Fridays and from Coimbatore on Sundays. The train would leave Chennai Central at 11 p.m. and arrive Coimbatore the next day at 7.55 a.m.In the return direction it would leave Coimbatore at 7.45 p.m. and arrive Chennai the next day at 4 a.m.The train would have stoppages at Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore North and Coimbatore Junction.
The coach composition would be one first AC cum AC two tier coach, one AC three tier coach, 12 sleeper class coaches, two general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans. From Chennai the services would be on May 22, 29, June 5, 12, 19 and 26.
From the Coimbatore the services would be on May 24, 31, June 7, 14, 21 and 28.
