LPG cylinders seized in city
Officials from the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) wing of the Indian Oil Corporation and Hindusthan Petroleum Corporation seized 25 cylinders in a drive against the misuse of subsidised domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes across the city. Special teams were constituted following information about the misuse of subsidised domestic LPG cylinders. The teams led by D. Suresh, deputy manager and Ramya Nair, assistant manager, Indane and V. Subramaniaya, senior sales officer, S. Muralikrishnan, customer service officer of HPC, conducted raids at Nava India, SNR Junction, Avarampalayam, VK Road, Peelamedu Pudur and Singanallur. During the drive, 25 cylinders were seized. IOCL and HPCL officials said that the drive would be intensified.
