CII Education Summit on February 2-3

Coimbatore: Educational institutions should develop capabilities to provide quality education to face the challenges in the field of education, said Jayakumar Ramdass, chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Coimbatore.
Briefing journalists on Monday about the ‘Regional Summit on Quality in Education,’ organised by the CII here on February 2 and 3, he added that some of the dominant trends in the field of higer education like on-line education, privatisation and commercialisation required innovative responses.

In the summit, around 150 management committee members, principal administrators and senior lecturers from all over Tamil Nadu would deliberate on issues relating to improving quality in higher education, said M Settu, convenor, education panel, CII.

The summit would provide a highly intellectual, interactive and educative environment to discuss issues in the educational sector, he added.
