Coimbatore NTC mills plans export to Europe

Revived Coimbatore NTC mills to export yarns to Europe
The two of export-oriented mills of National Textile Corporation (NTC) mills which are in process to export yarn and cloth to European and American markets are undertaking trial run on the newly-installed machines, industry sources said.

Shortly, the only shortlisted mill in Gujarat for modernisation, the Ahmedabad-based Rajnagar Textile Mills will begin commissioning of new equipment.
Sources added that of the 22 mills that will undergo Rs 530-crore modernisation, trial run has begun in the Coimbatore Murugan Mills (CMM) and the Alagappa Textile Mills (ATM) and soon, the units could vie for export orders.

However, the NTC will pump in Rs 1,529.12 lakh for modernisation of ATM, while Rs 1,162.98 lakh will be invested for modernising CMM.

The trail running of ring frames purchased from M/s CTMTC, China in Coimbatore Murugan Mills ( CMM ) and Alagappa Textile Mills (ATM) have been done.

While two machines in CMM have already started producing yarns, ATM will begin production and could expect orders from European market for high-end products.
