Miracle in Coimbatore-Electric charge in plastic chair

Coimbatore, Feb.14 (ANI): Residents of the Swamiyar New Street in Coimbatore were recently astonished to learn that a boy while sitting on a plastic chair got electrically charged after being hit by his brother by a towel at the backrest of the chair.
Believe it or not, the incident left not just the two children-Shyam and his younger brother--in utter disbelief but left all neighbours in mystery. The younger brother immediately pulled Shyam but got a mild shock.
Some of the residents, who experienced the same phenomenon, started calling it a 'miracle'.
"Me and my young brother were playing together. I just felt like hitting the backside of the chair he was sitting on with a towel. But when I tried to pull him, I felt an electric shock from his body. I hurriedly called my parents," said Shyam.
But when a few others complained of similar experience, it was suspected to be some fault with the electric wiring system. Soon, personnel of the electricity department were called in to check if the house was safe.
"Even after switching off the power supply to this area, we found induction in the bodies of persons who sat on this chair. We are quite confused," said Tamil Nadu Electricity Board official Chinna Kannu.
Soon, it was found that many people around the city were feeling the same current.
"We came to know that some bodies are getting electrically charged. That is why I came to see it. This is something like a miracle. It is unbelievable," said Alpana, a neighbour.
The news spread from word of mouth across the city and left many curious. (ANI)
