No liquor on March 31st and April 1st
Coimbatore: The Collector, Neeraj Mittal, has announced that all Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) vending shops run by the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) will remain closed on March 31 (Saturday) and April 1 (Sunday). They would remain closed on Saturday in view of the Mahavir Jayanthi and on Sunday in view of the Prophet Mohammed birthday. Failure to comply with the directive and keeping the liquor shops opened would attract stringent criminal proceedings, the Collector cautioned.
